Mehmet Aslan explained for the first time why he left the MHP.

İYİ Party Deputy Chairman Mehmet Aslan was the guest of Gökay Kalaycıoğlu, the host of the "Haber Bahane" program published on Haberler.com.

Making sincere statements about his political and private life, Aslan explained why he left the MHP.

"I LEFT MHP AGAINST AN INJUSTICE"

Mehmet Aslan stated, "The reason I left MHP is also against an injustice. I was very young in the meantime. There is a clear injustice here, but if I don't speak out against it, if the same injustice is done to me tomorrow, no one will stand by me, and I felt that I would have to continue with the same guilt psychology, which is why I left."

"I DID NOT LEAVE MHP FOR POLITICAL INTEREST"

Stating that he had a bright future in MHP, Aslan said, "I did not leave MHP for political interest or future. Some political parties, when a new political party is established, people go for the new because they have lost the opportunity to engage in politics in the past. I did not have such a problem. I was part of the Founders' Board of İYİ Party for the sake of my ideal."

"I NEVER CRITICIZED BAHÇELİ"

Aslan, who said, "I never cursed my past for my future," stated, "I have never criticized the people who brought me to political positions, my home, the Nationalist Movement Party, the Idealist Hearths, or Mr. Bahçeli at any point in my life. I have never spoken against them. There is not even a tweet against them."

"THE PEOPLE I TREATED TO MEALS ARE NOW WRITERS AND ATTACKING ME"

Aslan reported that he has been insulted regarding the institutional structure of MHP using his name on social media, but he did not respond at all. He stated that he remained silent for himself but would not allow his comrades' rights to be violated, saying, "The people I treated to meals have become writers, journalists, and are now attacking me from their columns. Those who understood what I meant by treating to meals have understood. Those people who used to call me 'Brother' are now writing columns as if nothing happened. But because I know their state, they will remain that way in front of me until they die."
