HE RUSHED TO THE HOSPITAL

Samancılar, who appeared very sad and had difficulty speaking, made the following emotional statements to the press at the hospital entrance:
'He left us all wounded. It's as if we've been shot and fallen somewhere, and one side of us doesn't work...'
HALF A CENTURY OF CINEMA AND SOUL FRIENDSHIP
Menderes Samancılar and Kadir İnanır had a deep friendship in Turkish cinema spanning more than 50 years. THEY WERE ALSO SHOULDER TO SHOULDER ON THE SILVER SCREEN
The duo, who did not limit their half-century friendship to life itself, also worked shoulder to shoulder in front of the camera, creating projects that left their mark on Turkish cinema. The duo, who acted together in unforgettable cinema classics such as Seyyid (1985) and 72. Koğuş (1987), last came together in the film Kapı (2019), which was Kadir İnanır's farewell project to cinema.
This painful farewell of two lives dedicated to cinema, ending at the hospital door, etched the sadness of one of Yeşilçam's most loyal and strongest friendships into memories. Following his statements, Samancılar proceeded to the hospital to convey his condolences to the master artist's family.
