TBMM President Kurtulmuş, in his speech regarding the report of the National Solidarity, Brotherhood, and Democracy Commission, stated, "I believe it is essential for legal regulations to be brought to the agenda after Ramadan."

TBMM President Numan Kurtulmuş made evaluations regarding the National Solidarity, Brotherhood, and Democracy Commission Report. Kurtulmuş stated that legal regulations should be brought to the agenda after the month of Ramadan.

"TURKEY HAS PASSED A VITAL THRESHOLD"

In his speech, Kurtulmuş noted that Turkey has left an important process behind, saying, "We have passed a vital threshold for Turkey. This does not mean that everything is over. A period of intense work is needed."

"THE ISSUE NEEDS TO BE REMOVED FROM TURKEY'S AGENDA"

Emphasizing that necessary steps should be taken with goodwill, patience, and determination within this framework, Kurtulmuş stated, "Now that such distance has been covered and the conditions in our region are so positive for Turkey's security, this issue needs to be completely removed from Turkey's agenda."

Kurtulmuş continued:

"This is an extraordinarily positive stage for Turkey's democracy. It is extremely valuable both in terms of the nature of the issue and because, in a context where politics is so tense and conflicts are so high, different parties coming together and finding common ground to discuss is extremely valuable and important."

Adding that the commission's work is advisory in nature, Kurtulmuş stated that the proposals presented in sections 6 and 7 of the report are entirely advisory.

"A PERIOD OF INTENSE WORK IS NEEDED"

Kurtulmuş expressed that the political parties that have signed will come together to discuss what can be done regarding legal regulations, saying, "I hope that the regulations that all parties will sign under will be realized."

Stating that the process is an important vital threshold for Turkey, the TBMM President remarked, "We have passed this threshold, but this does not mean that everything is over. A period of intense work is needed."

EMPHASIS ON THE 12 SEPTEMBER CONSTITUTION

Kurtulmuş pointed out that one of the issues agreed upon in politics is the inadequacy of the current constitution, stating that the 12 September coup constitution is no longer sufficient. Kurtulmuş expressed his hope for a collaborative effort on this issue.
