According to leaked messages, secret negotiations were carried out between the two for the purchase of a twin-engine helicopter on behalf of the party headquarters.

In the alleged messages between the two, the effort spent to expedite the helicopter purchase process is noteworthy. It is claimed that Özkan Yalım referenced a businessman involved in the aviation sector in his WhatsApp messages to Özgür Özel. In Yalım's message, he reportedly emphasized the 'social democrat' identity of this person and shared the businessman's mobile phone number so that Özel could establish direct contact.

The correspondence also reveals that the helicopter project did not remain at the idea stage but was translated into concrete technical details. According to the message contents, a comprehensive presentation file including all specifications and cost breakdown of the planned twin-engine helicopter was prepared and sent to Özgür Özel via WhatsApp.

Furthermore, the correspondence allegedly includes claims that a location search was initiated in Ankara to allow Özel, who was then sitting in the party chair, to conveniently use the helicopter, and that Ahlatlıbel Facilities, owned by Çankaya Municipality, was deemed suitable for use as a helicopter pad (heliport).
