The meteorology department announced that partly and locally very cloudy weather is expected in the northern and central parts of the country and in the Mediterranean. Local showers and thunderstorms are expected in the Taurus Mountains, Eastern Black Sea, Adana, Erzincan, Ardahan, and the inland parts of Samsun and Ordu, while temperatures are forecast to remain around seasonal norms.
According to the latest assessments made by the General Directorate of Meteorology, partly and lightly cloudy weather will prevail across Turkey, while locally strong cloudiness and locally effective precipitation will be seen in the northern, central and southern parts.
REGIONS EXPECTED TO RECEIVE RAIN
Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected from the afternoon hours, locally, in the Taurus Mountains region of the Mediterranean, the Eastern Black Sea (except Giresun coasts), Adana, Erzincan and Ardahan surroundings, and the inland parts of Samsun and Ordu. In other regions, the weather is expected to be partly cloudy and clear.
TEMPERATURE AND WIND CONDITIONS
It has been reported that there will be no significant change in air temperatures, and thermometers will continue to hover around seasonal norms across the country. The wind is expected to blow lightly, occasionally moderately, from the north in general, and from the south in the southeastern parts.
The expected weather conditions and the highest temperatures of the day in some provinces are as follows:
- Ankara: Partly and lightly cloudy 32
- Istanbul: Partly and lightly cloudy 31
- Izmir: Lightly cloudy and clear 34
- Adana: Partly and lightly cloudy, with local showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon hours 35
- Antalya: Partly and mostly cloudy, with local showers and thunderstorms in the inland parts during the afternoon hours 33
- Samsun: Partly and mostly cloudy, with local showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon hours 29
- Trabzon: Partly and mostly cloudy, with local showers and thunderstorms in the inland parts tomorrow (Wednesday) 28
- Erzurum: Partly and lightly cloudy 27
- Diyarbakir: Partly and lightly cloudy 37
