STATEMENT FROM METRO ISTANBUL
In a statement made by Metro Istanbul, it was stated that "services on the M2 Yenikapı–Hacıosman Metro Line are being carried out with delays due to a technical malfunction."
TRANSFERS FROM TAKSIM
The statement reported that metro services are being continued with transfers and delays from Taksim Station.
MALFUNCTION IN THE HALIC ELECTRIC LINE
According to information obtained from officials, it was learned that the malfunction occurred in the electric line near the Halic Metro Station and that sparks were emitted from the line.
FIRE BRIGADE AND TECHNICAL TEAMS ON SITE
While fire brigade teams dispatched to the scene are conducting investigations, it was noted that technical teams have also started working to resolve the malfunction.
Due to the malfunction, services towards Yenikapı have been halted, while transportation on the metro line continues in one direction.
CROWDING AT STATIONS
Due to the disruption, there has been a crowding at some stations, especially at Halic Metro Station.
