In Naples, Italy, a tourist couple walking down the street with their luggage was targeted in a coordinated attack by two migrant-origin snatch thieves. The first assailant attempted to grab the gold chain from the male tourist's neck, but the chain fell to the ground during the scuffle. Seizing the moment of chaos as the couple looked down, the second thief snatched the phone from the tourist's hand and fled quickly. The incident, captured second by second on security cameras, has prompted a police investigation.

A couple, identified as tourists, walking with their suitcases on a street in Naples became the target of a seemingly organized theft ring. The attackers, who casually marked the couple, carried out a two-stage robbery in coordination with accomplices waiting behind.

THEY FIRST TARGETED THE GOLD CHAIN

In the footage, the first attacker, wearing a white t-shirt, is seen approaching the male tourist from the opposite direction. As he passes by the tourist, the snatch thief suddenly extends his hand and makes a sharp move to tear the gold chain from the man's neck. Although the startled tourist realizes the situation and lunges after him, the thief quickly escapes. The gold chain, broken during the scuffle, falls to the ground.

SEIZED THE OPPORTUNITY OF CHAOS TO SNATCH THE PHONE

The couple, still in shock from the first attack, remains panicked at the scene, searching for the fallen chain and trying to understand the situation. At that moment, a second thief in a hat seizes the opportunity created by the commotion.

Waiting for the moment when the couple bends down to look at the ground, the second attacker snatches the male tourist's mobile phone in broad daylight and flees. The unfortunate man, stunned by what happened, begins to run after the second thief who stole his phone, but the attackers disappear from sight.

SURVEILLANCE CAMERAS ARE BEING REVIEWED

While the female tourist, bewildered in the middle of the street, is left alone with the suitcases, the incident has once again sparked debate over security issues in Italy's tourist areas. It has been reported that the Naples police have launched a large-scale operation to analyze recordings from nearby shops and street cameras to capture the clearly identifiable assailants of immigrant origin.
