The Minister of Justice, Akın Gürlek, addressed the issues of illegal betting and online gambling during a live broadcast he participated in. Minister Gürlek stated that he sent a circular to the chief public prosecutors of all 81 provinces, saying, "Illegal betting is an easy money trap. Football must be clean. All football matches are being examined. The courts have accepted the indictments, and the trial is starting."

The Minister of Justice, Akın Gürlek, made important statements regarding current issues during a live broadcast on NTV. Minister Gürlek drew attention to the issue of illegal gambling with striking words.

Speaking about the issue of illegal gambling, Minister Gürlek said, "Unfortunately, everyone is playing this. There are betting sites abroad. At first, they used student accounts, they rented them. In illegal gambling, there must be a method for money to enter the system. When this money comes to Turkey, it comes as dirty money. This money is not subject to tax."
