Minister of Justice Akın Gürlek announced that the "Guide to the Offices for the Effectiveness of Judicial Services," prepared to prevent delays in judicial processes and ensure uniformity in practice, has been published. It was emphasized that the work will be carried out based on judicial security of tenure and court independence.

WHAT IS THE GOAL?

The Ministry of Justice has added a new step to its efforts to increase speed and efficiency in the judicial system. The new guide, which determines the working procedures and principles of the "Offices for the Effectiveness of Judicial Services," implemented by the Council of Judges and Prosecutors (HSK) within the scope of the 4th Judicial Reform Strategy, has officially entered into force. With this regulation, which directly concerns the functioning of judges and prosecutors, it is aimed to ensure uniformity in practice within the judicial organization.

The offices that will become operational in line with the new guide will undertake critical tasks such as identifying the reasons for the prolongation of cases at the initial stage, monitoring the target time practice, and intervening in administrative disruptions on-site.

Additionally, applications received through the "Alo Justice 135" hotline will also be monitored through these offices. It was noted that all these processes will be carried out without casting a shadow on the principles of judicial independence and without interfering with judicial decisions.

WHAT WILL THESE OFFICES DO?

The statement by Minister of Justice Akın Gürlek is as follows:

"The 'Guide to the Offices for the Effectiveness of Judicial Services,' prepared by our Council of Judges and Prosecutors to ensure uniformity in the duties and functioning of the Offices for the Effectiveness of Judicial Services, which we implemented in line with our 4th Judicial Reform Strategy, has been published.

With these offices;

• We will identify the causes of prolonged cases and investigations at an early stage,

• We will closely monitor the target time practice and delays in judicial processes,

• We will produce solutions to administrative and organizational problems on-site,

• We will strengthen inter-institutional coordination,

• We will effectively evaluate the applications received from our citizens through Alo Justice 135.

We will carry out all our work with strict adherence to the independence of courts, judicial security of tenure, and the principle of non-interference in judicial processes.

By also utilizing the possibilities of technology, we will strengthen the bond between our citizens and judicial units; we will further advance our understanding of justice that is not delayed, effective, and accessible.

I wish the guide to be beneficial for our judicial organization and our citizens."
