Minister of Justice Akın Gürlek announced that an organized crime network with a transaction volume of approximately 26.4 billion lira was dismantled in an illegal betting operation coordinated by the Tarsus Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. Gürlek also stated that in the "Narkokapan Van" operation conducted in 11 provinces centered in Van, simultaneous raids were carried out against 102 suspects, and the state's fight against criminal organizations continues with determination.
Minister of Justice Akın Gürlek announced that an organized crime network with a transaction volume of approximately 26.4 billion liras has been dismantled as part of the illegal betting operation conducted under the coordination of the Tarsus Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.
In a post on his social media account, Gürlek stated that under the coordination of the Van Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, a simultaneous operation called "Narkokapan Van" was carried out against 102 suspects in 11 provinces through the meticulous work of the police force and all relevant units.

Highlighting that the operation once again demonstrated the determined will of the state in the fight against drugs, Gürlek said, "In line with the instructions of our President, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, regarding the fight against drugs and crime revenues, all our judicial and administrative mechanisms are being operated with determination in full harmony and coordination against poison dealers targeting our youth and structures that thrive on crime."
Gürlek also reported that an illegal betting operation was conducted by the Tarsus Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.
OPERATION AGAINST CRIMINAL NETWORK WITH 26.4 BILLION LIRA TRANSACTION VOLUME
Minister Gürlek noted the following regarding the operation: "Another concrete example of the determined struggle is the illegal betting operation carried out under the coordination of our Tarsus Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. In the operation against an organized crime network with a transaction volume of approximately 26.4 billion liras, high-value movable and immovable assets obtained from crime were confiscated, and another criminal network was dismantled. Both operations clearly show that our state conducts a holistic fight by simultaneously intervening in the financial resources, field structures, and digital networks of criminal organizations. Our struggle against criminal groups will continue with determination through the joint will of all our institutions, especially our Ministries of Justice and Interior. I congratulate our Van and Tarsus Chief Public Prosecutor's Offices, our General Directorate of Security's Department of Anti-Narcotic Crimes, our Van and Mersin Provincial Police Departments, and all public officials involved in the operation processes for coordinating these successful operations."
