A military munition was found by citizens at Ormanlı Beach in the Çatalca district of Istanbul. The explosive material, believed to have drifted from the Black Sea due to currents amid the Russia-Ukraine war, was taken into custody by Coast Guard teams under extensive security measures.

Exciting moments were experienced in the Çatalca district, located on Istanbul's Black Sea coast. The attention of citizens taking a walk on the Forested Coast revealed a significant security threat. After citizens noticed a foreign object washed ashore and reported the situation to the authorities, an alarm was raised in the region.

COAST GUARD CLOSED THE AREA TO ENTRY

Upon the report, Coast Guard teams were swiftly dispatched to the scene. Upon arrival, the teams immediately took extensive security measures around the object, assessed to be military ammunition. Due to the risk of a potential explosion, the entire coastal strip was evacuated and closed to citizen entry.

In initial examinations conducted by expert teams at the scene, the object in question was identified as military ammunition. INVESTIGATION LAUNCHED
