It was recorded that air raid sirens sounded in Jerusalem; in a statement from the IDF, it was noted that efforts were being made to intercept a missile launched from Yemen towards Israel.
THE ATTACK CAME FROM THE HOUTHIS
The Ansarullah movement, known to the public as the Houthis, operating in Yemen, defines itself as part of the "Axis of Resistance" shaped under Iranian leadership. The group states that it stands together with Hamas, Hezbollah in Lebanon, and other armed groups in the region against Israel, the USA, and the West.
WHAT HAD HAPPENED?
Iran had announced that many high-ranking military officials and nuclear scientists lost their lives due to the attacks carried out by Israel. It was reported that Iranian Chief of General Staff Mohammad Bagheri was killed in the Israeli attack; among those who lost their lives in the attacks were the Commander of the Revolutionary Guards Corps, Hossein Salami, former head of the Iranian Atomic Energy Agency, Fereydoun Abbasi, and nuclear scientist Mohammad Mehdi Tehranchi.
A total of 78 people lost their lives in Israel's attacks, while 329 others were injured.
