In the Gölcük district of Kocaeli, a mother and her son lost their lives after heading out on an ATV and being swept away by the current while trying to cross a stream. According to obtained information, Emine Yeni and her son Mustafa Yeni set out from Beylik village on an ATV to make a holiday visit. The mother and son were swept away by a strong current while attempting to cross a stream in the Şevketiye village area.
INVESTIGATION INTO THE INCIDENT CONTINUES
After their relatives could not reach them for a long time, the situation was reported to authorities. Following the notification, a large-scale search operation was launched in the area by teams dispatched to the scene. As a result of the search efforts carried out by the teams in the region, the lifeless bodies of Mustafa Yeni and his mother Emine Yeni were found.
Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
