Artist Muazzez Abacı suffered a heart attack on November 12 in the USA, on her 78th birthday, and passed away. Abacı's funeral was brought to Ankara after a ceremony held in Istanbul. A ceremony was held for Abacı at TRT Ankara Radio. The ceremony was attended by Abacı's daughter Aslı Saba Abacı, her granddaughter Sarah Anderson, family members, and fans. Abacı's daughter, granddaughter, and relatives received condolences before the ceremony. During the ceremony, Abacı's life story was narrated, and the Quran was recited. Later, permission was sought for Abacı. Muazzez Abacı's funeral will be buried at Cebeci Asri Cemetery after the noon prayer to be held at Kocatepe Mosque.
