TRANSFERRED FROM PRISON TO HOSPITAL

HAD BEATEN CANCER TWICE BEFORE

Çalık, who has previously beaten cancer twice, also experienced health issues during his time in custody; he underwent surgery for suspected lymphoma, had an angiogram, and underwent bone biopsies twice. "THE MASS IS IN A RISKY AREA"

Çalık's wife, Zehra Çalık, stated in a statement that the doctors indicated the mass needed to be removed, saying:

"The mass is in a risky area, at a critical point. A mass has formed again just below it due to the lymphoma process he previously experienced, so it will be removed. Our hope is that the operation goes well. We trust our doctors here."

Zehra Çalık emphasized that the conditions of his detention negatively affected his health and called for the process to be resolved as soon as possible.

CALL FROM CHP TO "RELEASE HIM"

CHP Trabzon Provincial Chairman Mustafa Bak emphasized that Murat Çalık is experiencing serious health problems, stating, "His right to life and health is being obstructed. Mehmet Murat Çalık must be tried without detention. He should be released immediately."

"HE WILL UNDERGO SURGERY FOR THE SIXTH TIME"

CHP Beylikdüzü District Chairman Mülayim Demirtaş reminded that Çalık will undergo surgery for the sixth time, stating, "It hurts us. There is an unjust and unlawful detention. He should not be held in prison for even a minute."

SUPPORT STATEMENT IN FRONT OF THE HOSPITAL

The CHP Beylikdüzü District Organization made a press statement in front of the hospital, arguing that Çalık has been detained for about 300 days and expressing that the ongoing process is unacceptable both legally and humanely.

Zehra Çalık thanked those who came to support, saying, "Our health concern is very great, but this process also needs to be resolved now."
