After American businessman Elon Musk, the owner of Tesla and SpaceX, suggested that the name of former President Donald Trump was also included, two Democratic members of the House of Representatives called for the lifting of the confidentiality of the Epstein files and their publication. Musk then deleted his post stating, "Donald Trump is in the Epstein files."

Following Elon Musk's claim that Donald Trump's name appeared in the Epstein files, two Democratic members of the House of Representatives requested the release and publication of those files. The letter was sent to the Department of Justice and the FBI.

DEMOCRATS CALL FOR "EPSTEIN" IN THE U.S.

According to a report by The Hill, Democratic members of the House of Representatives, Stephen Lynch and Robert Garcia, sent a letter to U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi and FBI Director Kash Patel regarding the matter.

"FILES SHOULD BE PUBLISHED"

In the letter, Lynch and Garcia demanded immediate clarification on whether the claim that Trump's name appears in the Epstein files is true, and requested a response with the requested information and documents. The duo, who called for the publication of the Epstein files, questioned Trump's role in the Department of Justice's ability to lift the confidentiality of these documents and disclose them to the public.

They also requested a list of all personnel involved in the publication of the files and an explanation of why significant redactions were made in the documents previously provided to the Task Force on the Declassification of Federal Secrets.

Lynch and Garcia shared the view that "any attempt to prevent the publication of the Epstein files to protect the President from the truth and accountability deserves intense scrutiny by Congress and the Department of Justice." The U.S. Department of Justice and the FBI declined to comment on the matter.

MUSK DELETED HIS POST

An interesting move came from Musk. Elon Musk deleted his post on social media, stating, "It's time to drop the real big bomb. Donald Trump is in the Epstein files. This is the real reason they are not being disclosed."

In a verbal exchange stemming from Musk's criticism of the tax and immigration bill bearing Trump's signature, Musk claimed that Trump won the 2024 elections thanks to his support and alleged that the President's name appeared in the Epstein files, claiming that this was the reason the file was not disclosed.
