Galatasaray President Dursun Özbek and head coach Okan Buruk made a call to the fans to gather at Yenikapı for the championship celebrations. Additionally, captain Fernando Muslera did not miss the opportunity to send a message to Fenerbahçe regarding the 5th star. Muslera stated, "As all captains, we invite our fans to Yenikapı to celebrate the 5th star, which is real and the first in Turkey."
Galatasaray, which has reached the championship in the Super League, held a press conference with president Dursun Özbek, head coach Okan Buruk, and team captain Fernando Muslera.
Özbek, who first spoke about the celebrations in Yenikapı, said, "We have things to say for Galatasaray. There are two matches left until the end of the season. As of today, the champion of the Turkish league is Galatasaray. We are all enjoying this moment as a community. As you know, our celebrations will take place in Yenikapı. I believe that Galatasaray fans will no longer fit in Yenikapı. My call to all my fans is to meet in Yenikapı. Let's celebrate our 25th championship there."
On the other hand, President Özbek introduced the new application 'GS Plus'. Özbek stated, "Today we are introducing the GS Plus application. Its importance is great. In terms of content, I believe that our fans' sense of belonging will empower this. My request is for all our fans to download this application. Fans who download it will be able to watch the celebrations in Yenikapı live. I expect a separate record from my fans. I want it to reach a world record, befitting the greatness of Galatasaray," he expressed.
"WE DON'T KNOW WHO WILL PRESENT THE TROPHY"
When asked who would present the championship trophy, Dursun Özbek stated, "We have no information. Normally it is presented by the TFF, but we have not received any information. We do not know who will present it."
Galatasaray's head coach Okan Buruk said, "We are very happy, we are very proud. Thanks to our president, our management, our players, and our fans. We succeeded together again, we said May is ours, and we are champions again. Hopefully, we will walk towards our fourth and fifth championships with them. Your support for GS Plus, especially for our team, is important. There are very significant advantages," he said.
