NBA: Doncic In History Books Once Again, Dallas Wins

20 year old forward Luka Doncic produces 41 points, 12 rebounds, 11 assists to bring 122 111 win to Dallas Mavericks.

Dallas Mavericks beat Detroit Pistons 122-111 in Thursday's NBA match in Mexico, thanks to a major contribution from the Western Conference franchise's Slovenian star Luka Doncic.
Doncic was rampant against Pistons, scoring 41 points, having 12 rebounds and making 11 assists in the match held in Mexico City, a rare habit for NBA teams.
The Mavericks small forward got his 8th triple-double this season, becoming the first player in NBA history to record two triple-doubles with 40+ points before the age of 21.
He is 20 years old.
The NBA returned to Mexico for a couple of regular-season games as part of the American basketball league's Global Games project.
The most recent one was played between the Pistons and the Mavericks on Thursday.
Meanwhile the next one - Phoenix Suns vs San Antonio Spurs - will be held at Mexico City Arena on Dec. 14.
Mavericks' shooting guard Seth Curry scored 30 points and power forward Kristaps Porzingis dropped 20 points to contribute the win.
Pistons' top scorer was their center Andre Drummond, who tallied 23 points and 15 rebounds.
Point guard Derrick Rose had 19 points. Power forward Markieff Morris netted 16 points for Pistons as well.
The Mavericks are currently in the third spot in the Western Conference standings with a 17-7 win/loss record.
The Los Angeles Lakers lead the West, winning 22 of their 25 games played.
Once the regular season is over, the top eight teams in each conference, the West and East, will advance to the playoffs.
Results:
*Detroit Pistons - Dallas Mavericks: 111-122
*Boston Celtics - Philadelphia 76ers: 109-115
*San Antonio Spurs - Cleveland Cavaliers: 109-117 (overtime)
