Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu, who published a video message on his social media account regarding the International Criminal Court's issuance of an arrest warrant, stated, "Israel does not recognize this decision and will not recognize it." "ANTISEMITIC MEASURE"Netanyahu described the issuance of the arrest warrant as a "dark day," stating, "This is an antisemitic measure with a single purpose." Claiming that Israel does not starve Gazans, Netanyahu reiterated, "Israel does not recognize this decision and will not recognize it." THREAT TO COUNTRIES THAT WILL IMPLEMENT THE DECISIONNetanyahu, who praised those opposing the decision, especially the United States, subtly threatened countries that announced they would implement the decision, claiming that there would be serious consequences for the court and those who cooperate with it, particularly for those who support him, including the United States. Netanyahu stated, "No ugly decision against Israel will prevent us from continuing to defend our country and will not stop me. We will not bow to pressure." ICC ISSUES ARREST WARRANT FOR NETANYAHU AND GALLANTThe ICC announced in its latest decision that it had issued an arrest warrant for Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant "for war crimes and crimes against humanity committed in Gaza." The ICC had previously announced in March of last year that it issued an arrest warrant for Putin and Russia's Commissioner for Children's Rights, Maria Alekseyevna Lvova-Belova, on the grounds of "war crimes" as part of its investigation into crimes committed in Ukraine.
