Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu responded to the question, "When will the war with Iran end?" by saying, "We want to dismantle their nuclear program, and we are doing that. I believe these are achievable goals, but I will not put a timeline or a stopwatch on it. I think we have objectives to reach, and we are not counting the days."
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu made striking statements at a press conference regarding the operations of Israel and the U.S. against Iran. Netanyahu accused Iran over the Strait of Hormuz, suggesting that the war could end sooner than expected.
"THE U.S. WAS NOT DRAGGED INTO WAR BY ISRAEL"
At the meeting attended by foreign press, Netanyahu rejected claims that the U.S. was dragged into war by Israel. "Do they really think someone can tell President Trump what to do? President Trump always makes decisions thinking about what is best for the U.S.," he said.
Netanyahu stated that U.S. President Donald Trump has already taken a clear stance that Iran should not acquire nuclear weapons, saying, "He did not need to be convinced."
"WE SUPPORT THE U.S. IN OPENING THE STRAIT OF HORMUZ"
Accusing Iran of blackmailing the world by closing the Strait of Hormuz, Netanyahu said, "This will not work. Israel is supporting the American effort to open the Strait of Hormuz through its own methods, intelligence, and various means."
He also argued that alternative routes for energy transportation need to be established, suggesting that oil and gas could be delivered to Israeli ports via the Arabian Peninsula.
"A REVOLUTION CANNOT BE MADE FROM THE AIR"
Addressing the possibility of regime change in Iran, Netanyahu stated, "A revolution cannot be made from the air. There must also be a ground component. There are different possibilities regarding this, but I will not share all of them."
Avoiding a clear commitment regarding the future of the Iranian regime, Netanyahu said, "The regime may survive or it may not. However, if it survives, it will be much weaker."
"THE WAR MAY END FASTER THAN EXPECTED"
In response to a question about the duration of the war, Netanyahu said, "We are not counting the days. We want to dismantle the nuclear program, and we are doing that. I foresee that this war will end much faster than people think."
CONFESSION ON GAS FACILITY ATTACK
Regarding the attack on Iran's gas fields, Netanyahu stated that Israel acted independently, saying, "Israel acted on its own in this matter. President Trump asked us to postpone future attacks, and we are waiting."
MESSAGE TO LEBANON: WE HAVE PLANS
Responding to questions about Lebanon, Netanyahu said, "I cannot disclose our war plans. We have plans for the future in Lebanon. However, our number one priority is Iran."
