In their message, the Houthis argued that the conflicts carry a broader meaning, stating, "This war is the war of the entire ummah."
THREAT TO TARGET US SHIPS
The message also included a clear threat to US assets in the Red Sea. The Houthis stated, "We will strike US ships in the Red Sea." The statements from the Houthis indicate that tensions in the Middle East may escalate further, raising security concerns in the region.
THEIR LEADER HAD GIVEN THE SIGNAL
The leader of the Houthis, Abdulmalik al-Houthi, had previously stated, "Israel and the USA want to control the region in general," calling on the people of Yemen to hold demonstrations in support of Iran.
