Anti-war civil society organizations criticized the U.S.'s unconditional support for Israel by protesting the meeting between Donald Trump and Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House. The demonstrators labeled Netanyahu a 'war criminal' and urged Trump to prioritize American interests.

Anti-war civil society organizations condemning the meeting between U.S. President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House reacted to the U.S. support for Israel and the prioritization of Israeli interests over American ones.

PROTEST SHOCK TO NETANYAHU

Hundreds of people participated in the organization, which included many prominent civil society organizations in the country such as the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), Code Pink, Americans for Justice in Palestine (AJP Action), and the U.S. Council of Muslim Organizations (USCMO), staging a demonstration in front of the White House.

Demonstrators led by leaders of Muslim civil society organizations operating in the U.S. and anti-war human rights advocates expressed their criticisms of Trump and Netanyahu, who met at the White House, and their reactions to the unconditional U.S. support for Israel.

Civil society leaders emphasized that Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu is a "war criminal" and should actually be arrested, calling on Trump to "not be influenced by Israel."

"ISRAEL SHOULD NOT BE PRIORITIZED OVER AMERICAN INTERESTS"

In his speech, USCMO Secretary General Oussama Jammal stated, "President Trump has committed to making America great again. In this case, he needs to prioritize American interests and not allow himself to be dictated by Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu. The American people expect President Trump to realize his vision of peace not only in the Middle East but around the world."

Jewish activist Medea Benjamin, one of the founders of Code Pink, which is composed of anti-war women, stated that Netanyahu is asking for more money and weapons from U.S. taxpayers, saying, "Netanyahu does not want to implement a ceasefire in Gaza. He does not want the second and third phases of the ceasefire because he does not want to withdraw the Israeli army from Gaza. He wants to drag the U.S. into a war with Iran, which he has been trying to do for many years. (Trump) will we see him follow the path of war hawks, or will he listen to what Americans have been saying for months? We will see."

NETANYAHU'S VISIT TO THE U.S.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu traveled to the U.S. to discuss developments in the Middle East and around the world with U.S. President Donald Trump, and the meetings, which were expected to conclude on Thursday, were extended due to 'intensity.'
