Following the decision of "absolute nullity" regarding the CHP's 38th Ordinary Congress, a notable arrangement was made on the protocol wall at the party headquarters. While Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu's removed photograph was replaced with a renewed one, Özgür Özel's detail sparked debate. In the hallway where former chairpersons are depicted in black and white, and the current one in color, Özel's placement among the former leaders with a black-and-white portrait was interpreted as a symbolic message regarding the legal process.
The 'absolute nullity' tension at CHP Headquarters, reflected in the building's physical fabric, stirred political circles with a new arrangement in the corridor featuring portraits of party leaders. Following the absolute nullity ruling, Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu's photo, which was removed in protest, has been rehung. During this rearrangement, Özgür Özel's photo was also added to the Leaders' corner, but the chosen photo being black and white drew attention. This was interpreted as a symbolic message.
KILIÇDAROĞLU'S PHOTO REMOVED IN PROTEST RETURNS
Following the court ruling on CHP's 38th Ordinary Convention, Kılıçdaroğlu's photo was taken down from the wall in protest amid the tension at headquarters.
After these events, Kılıçdaroğlu's photo was renewed and brought back to the protocol wall at Headquarters.
Kılıçdaroğlu's was not the only photo to return. Özgür Özel's photo, which was also removed amid the evacuation scuffle, was rehung in the Leaders' corner.
However, keen eyes noticed an interesting detail.
PHOTO LAYOUT DRAWS ATTENTION
The new layout in the Headquarters corridor drew attention with its arrangement and color choices. On the left side of the wall, black-and-white photos of former party leaders symbolizing the party's history are displayed. Immediately after this series, Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu's black-and-white portrait is placed. However, on the far right of the wall, a color photo of Kılıçdaroğlu was also hung as the active leader.
NOTEWORTHY ÖZGÜR ÖZEL DETAIL: SHIFTED TO BLACK-AND-WHITE
The real surprise in the photo arrangement occurred with Özgür Özel's section. Normally, on the wall where current leaders are represented with color photos, the fact that Özgür Özel's portrait was placed in the section with former leaders and in black-and-white did not go unnoticed. This black-and-white Özgür Özel frame, positioned right between two color Kılıçdaroğlu photos, became the most talked-about topic at headquarters that day.
SYMBOLIC GESTURE TO THE 'ABSOLUTE NULLITY' RULING?
Legal experts and party circles linked Özgür Özel's placement among black-and-white photos to the court's 'absolute nullity' ruling. Since the decision has not yet fully matured and the legal process continues, this move is interpreted as a symbolic gesture or a reference to the current legal situation.
According to scenarios discussed in Ankara circles, if the court ruling becomes final, Özgür Özel would legally be considered 'never having been a leader,' and thus this color and position choice in the headquarters corridor is seen as the party's response to the current legal uncertainty via a wall display.
NAMEPLATE ALSO INSTALLED
Meanwhile, a nameplate with Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu's name was placed on the door of the office on the 12th floor.
