In the investigation regarding the murder of football player Kubilay Kaan Kundakçı in Ümraniye, Istanbul, the statement of Aleyna Kalaycıoğlu's mother, Zuhal Kalaycıoğlu, who is alleged to be the instigator, has been included in the case file. Kalaycıoğlu stated that she has no connection to the incident and did not instigate anyone.
New details have emerged in the investigation regarding the armed attack that resulted in the death of 21-year-old football player Kubilay Kaan Kundakçı in Ümraniye, Istanbul. According to a report by Sabah, the comprehensive statement given by Aleyna Kalaycıoğlu's mother, Zuhal Kalaycıoğlu, who has been implicated as the instigator of the murder, has been added to the case file. The statement included striking details about the events of the day and the relationships between the parties involved.
"I KNOW KUNDAKCI FROM MY DAUGHTER'S CIRCLE"
Zuhal Kalaycıoğlu stated that she knew Kubilay Kaan Kundakçı through her daughter Aleyna's circle of friends, mentioning that they first met in Bodrum and that he later came to her home several times in Istanbul. Kalaycıoğlu expressed that she knew Kundakçı had played football in the past but had quit due to health issues, emphasizing that there was no animosity or financial relationship between them.

"I have known a person named Metin Kadayıfçıoğlu for a long time. I don't remember when I first met him. I don't know what he does for a living. I don't know where he lives. He is saved in my phone book, and as far as I remember, I saved him as 'Metin bro.'
"I MET ALAATTIN KADAYIFÇIOĞLU 3 WEEKS AGO"
"I have known a person named Alaattin Kadayıfçıoğlu for about 3 weeks. He came to visit my daughter Aleyna along with my disabled daughter Cansu Tutuş. I met him for the first time there. I know he works in shipping. My daughter was in contact with him, but I have no information about whether there was any romantic relationship between them. His phone number may be saved as Alaattin in my contacts. There is no financial issue or animosity between us."
"ALEYNA TAKES CARE OF MY DISABLED DAUGHTER AND ME"
In her statement, Kalaycıoğlu also touched on her family life, explaining that she has been living separately from her husband for about 20 years and taking care of her two daughters, one of whom is disabled. She noted that the care of her disabled daughter is largely provided by Aleyna and that she also supports herself with her daughter's help.
"VAHAP HAD PROBLEMS WITH MY DAUGHTER"
Kalaycıoğlu claimed that her daughter had serious problems in her relationship with Vahap Canbay. She stated that there was unrest due to Canbay frequently bringing friends to their home, which led her to move from their house in Zekeriyaköy to Beykoz. However, she expressed that the same situation continued there as well.
Kalaycıoğlu alleged that her daughter wanted to end this relationship but faced pressure during the process, stating that her daughter sometimes called her for help and that the tension between them was increasing.

In her statement, Kalaycıoğlu mentioned that her daughter wanted to break up from this relationship several times, noting that the arguments between the parties grew over time and that this situation made her uneasy. Despite what happened, she expressed that they did not approach the authorities because they were afraid.
ON THE DAY OF THE INCIDENT: "WE ARE IN THE STUDIO, WE CAN'T GO OUT" PHONE CALL
Kalaycıoğlu recounted that her daughter called her in the evening on the day of the incident, saying, "We are in the studio, we can't go out." She insisted that her daughter come home, and after a while, her daughter arrived home in a panic.
Kalaycıoğlu stated that her daughter was particularly worried about her dog and constantly mentioned this issue, adding that Alaattin Kadayıfçıoğlu came to their home about two hours later and that her daughter left with him.
PHONE CALL FROM THE POLICE
Kalaycıoğlu said that shortly after the incident, the police called her and that she learned about an injury incident in Ümraniye this way. When she couldn't reach her daughter, she called those around her and later found out that her daughter was with a friend.
According to the information conveyed to her, she learned that there had been a dispute between Alaattin Kadayıfçıoğlu and Vahap Canbay, and that a weapon was used during this dispute.
"MY DAUGHTER WAS IN SHOCK, SHE WAS TREMBLING"
Kalaycıoğlu recounted that she later found her daughter at a friend's house, stating that Aleyna was in great panic due to the incident, trembling and having difficulty speaking. She also added that police teams came to their home after the incident and took her daughter away.
"EVERYONE WILL KNOW THEIR PLACE" STATEMENT WAS ASKED
In her statement, Kalaycıoğlu was also asked about the words "Everyone will know their place," which she allegedly used on the day of the incident, claiming that she said this during a phone call but did not intend it as a threat.
"I DID NOT INSTIGATE ANYONE"
Firmly denying the allegations against her, Kalaycıoğlu stated, "I have no connection to this incident. I did not direct anyone, I did not instigate anyone." She also added that Kundakçı was a friend of her daughter.
RELEASED UNDER JUDICIAL CONTROL
It was learned that a judicial control decision was applied to Zuhal Kalaycıoğlu, whose statement was taken as part of the investigation, while efforts to clarify all aspects of the incident are ongoing.
