New era for the exit fee for traveling abroad: It starts from January 1st.

The period for paying the exit fee for traveling abroad with stamps will end on January 1st. The fee can now be paid through digital platforms and banks.

The Revenue Administration (GİB) announced that the application of paying the exit fee for going abroad with stamps will end as of January 1, 2025. With the new year, the exit fee for going abroad can be obtained from the digital tax office, GİB Mobile, partner banks, tax offices, and counters at airports.

HOW LONG CAN STAMPS PURCHASED WITH THE OLD FEE BE USED?

The exit fee stamps purchased for 500 TL at the end of 2024 can be used until January 10, 2025. After this date, the updated fee of 710 TL will be mandatory. As of January 10, 2025, the stamp application for exit fees will completely end for going abroad.
