WHO IS MUSTAFA ÇİFTÇİ?
He was born in 1970 in the Çumra District of Konya. He completed his primary and secondary education in Çumra and finished high school in Konya. In 1995, he graduated from the Public Administration Department of the Faculty of Political Sciences at Ankara University. In 1996, he passed the exam for the Kaymakam Candidate position opened by the Ministry of Interior and started his duty as a Kaymakam Candidate in Konya in the 85th period.
In 1998, he went to England for 8 months. In 1999, he graduated from the National Security Academy. He served as a Kaymakam in Aksaray-Gülağaç, Erzurum-Tekman, Nevşehir-Derinkuyu, Bitlis-Adilcevaz, and Kırşehir-Kaman Districts, and held the position of Department Head in the General Directorate of Personnel of the Ministry of Interior. He also served as the Private Secretary and Chief Advisor in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey.
In 2007, he completed his Master's degree in Public Administration at Selçuk University, and in 2011, he graduated from the Faculty of Theology at Ankara University. In 2012, he completed another Master's degree in the Department of Public Administration at Van Yüzüncü Yıl University. Mustafa ÇİFTÇİ graduated from the Department of Justice and the Faculty of Economics at Ankara University. He is currently continuing his education at the Faculty of Law at Ankara University and the History Department of Anadolu University Open Education Faculty. Embracing the philosophy that "A person ages the day they stop learning; a person who abandons learning is old whether they are twenty or eighty," Governor Çiftçi speaks English and Arabic.
Appointed as the Governor of Çorum with the Presidential appointment decision numbered 2018/202, our esteemed Governor served in Çorum for 4 years and 9 months. With the Presidential appointment decision dated August 9, 2023, numbered 2023/376, he was appointed to our province and started his duty as the Governor of Erzurum on August 18, 2023. Governor Çiftçi is married and has three children. He has been appointed as the Minister of Interior, replacing Yerlikaya.
