Three people were detained, including Deputy Secretary General Serkan T., Acting Head of the Planning Department Tuncay K., and a civil servant. Meanwhile, the appeal against the detention of Metropolitan Mayor Muhittin Böcek was rejected.

This morning, a new operation was conducted as part of the 'bribery' investigation against the Antalya Metropolitan Municipality. In the investigation coordinated by the Antalya Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, Muhittin Böcek and his former daughter-in-law Zeynep Kerimoğlu were detained on July 5, while it was determined that his suspect son Mustafa Gökhan Böcek was abroad. Muhittin Böcek, who was referred to the courthouse, was arrested, while his former daughter-in-law Kerimoğlu was released under a travel ban and judicial control. Following the decision, Böcek was suspended from his duties by the Ministry of Interior.
Today, around 07:30, teams from the Smuggling and Organized Crime Prevention Department (KOM) arrived at the municipality building and detained 3 individuals, including Deputy Secretary General Serkan T., Acting Head of the Planning Department Tuncay K., and a civil servant. It was learned that searches were ongoing in some units of the municipality.
REJECTION OF THE APPEAL AGAINST ARREST
Meanwhile, the lawyers of the arrested Metropolitan Mayor Böcek, who is being investigated for 'bribery' by the Antalya Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, submitted a petition to the criminal court requesting the release of their client. The court, which evaluated the petition, rejected the request.
