The first photo in months of Beylikdüzü Mayor Mehmet Murat Çalık, who is under arrest and in prison as part of the IBB case, has been shared. Lawyer Melih Koçhan used the following statements in his post:
“Today, we may not have been reunited yet… Maybe we will again long for you in the prison visiting booth, and look into each other’s eyes in courtrooms.
Maybe my grandmother will shed more tears… But know this; we will never give up until we get you out of there. The truth will come out, and the slanders will collapse one by one.”
HEALTH PROCESS DRAWS ATTENTION
It is known that Çalık, who has beaten cancer twice before, has experienced health issues during his time in prison. Çalık, who underwent surgery due to suspicion of lymphoma, subsequently had an angioplasty and underwent two bone biopsies. Additionally, Çalık had another operation in January due to a mass in his neck.
