Five suspects were arrested in connection with an armed attack on a private kindergarten in Ankara's Etimesgut district during the night. In the incident, which came to light when staff arriving at the school in the morning noticed bullet marks on the door, police examined security cameras and identified the suspects. It was noteworthy that the weapon used in the attack was found on the roof of a house.
Five suspects detained over the incident of opening fire with a gun at a private kindergarten at night in Ankara's Etimesgut district have been arrested.
4 BULLETS HIT THE KINDERGARTEN
The incident occurred around 02:45 on October 6 on 1407th Street in Şeker Neighborhood of Etimesgut district. Shots were fired with a gun at a private kindergarten during the night hours when it was closed. Staff arriving at the school in the morning noticed that 4 bullets had hit the door. Teams arriving upon notice found 2 empty 9x19 millimeter cartridge casings at the scene.
CAMERA FOOTAGE WAS EXAMINED
To shed light on the incident, teams from the Robbery Bureau Office of the Public Order Branch Directorate of Ankara Police Department launched an investigation. Camera footage from before and after the incident, as well as vehicle movements and routes, were examined. As a result of field work, the identities of the suspects who carried out the attack and their connections to the vehicle and weapon used in the incident were determined.
SUSPECTS CAUGHT IN AN OPERATION
During the work, B.T., who fired the gun, H.D., who drove the vehicle during the incident, M.A.K., who was in the vehicle, and G.Ç. and S.M., who were assessed to be instigators, were caught. During the operation, the weapon used in the incident was also seized on the roof of a house. After procedures at the police station, the 5 suspects referred to the courthouse were arrested and sent to prison.
