RAMS Başakşehir's head coach Nuri Şahin responded to Antalyaspor's head coach Erol Bulut's statement regarding the leaking of information from within the club, stating that he would not stoop to such things.
Antalyaspor's head coach Erol Bulut claimed during a press conference held after the 1-0 away victory against Eyüpspor in the 11th week of the Super League that someone from within the club had leaked information to the opposing team during the matches against RAMS Başakşehir and Eyüpspor. Following these statements, Başakşehir Club also made a statement on social media, and head coach Nuri Şahin responded through his social media account.
'I DO NOT INDULGE IN SUCH THINGS'
Nuri Şahin stated in his explanation, "I have never been involved in any work that contradicts the spirit of sports throughout my life, and I do not indulge in such things. But more importantly; I am extremely saddened that my teammates, who work day and night, have been made a part of such an agenda."
STATEMENT FROM RAMS BAŞAKŞEHİR
On the other hand, RAMS Başakşehir club also published a statement regarding the matter. The statement from the orange-blue club included the following remarks:
"Yesterday, after the Eyüpspor-Antalyaspor match played in the 11th week of the Trendyol Super League, we believe it has become necessary to make a statement as İstanbul Başakşehir Football Club regarding the claims made by Antalyaspor's head coach Mr. Erol Bulut that 'tactical information within the club has been leaked.'
As İstanbul Başakşehir FK, we always place the highest importance on ethical values, the spirit of fair play, and the respectability of Turkish football. Our head coach Nuri Şahin and his team, who focus solely on their own work, the development of our club, and our performance on the field, have not received any information or documents related to the opposing team prior to the mentioned match.
We find it essential for all parties to use a responsible language in order to prevent the relevant statements from harming the respectability of Turkish football, and we hope that the public will focus on the labor and beauty of football rather than unverified claims," it was stated.
