As the Rapid Support Forces, which are clashing with the army in Sudan, continue their horrific massacres against civilians in the areas they have captured, a chilling video has emerged in which a member of the RSF defends the rapes and murders they have committed. In the video, the RSF member is seen saying, "This is our right, do you understand? This is our right, we have taken this right. We have raped your sisters and your daughters."

The Rapid Support Forces (RSF), which have been clashing with the army in Sudan since April 15, 2023, continue to carry out massacres in the capital of North Darfur state, El Fasher, which they seized on October 26. As the situation in the country becomes irreversible, RSF members are executing civilians en masse and killing them brutally.

CONFLICTS IN SUDAN HAVE TURNED INTO GENOCIDE

The latest video from the country, which the world is watching closely, is chilling. A member of the RSF defended the rapes and murders they committed by saying, "It's our right."

"WE RAPED YOUR SISTERS, IT'S OUR RIGHT"

The RSF member said in the video: "They say this about us: They raped innocent civilians in El Fasher, they killed them, they stole and looted people's property. My brother, this is our right, do you understand? This is our right, we took this right. We raped your sisters, your daughters. This is our homeland, this is our right."

ICC INVESTIGATING WAR CRIMES

The International Criminal Court (ICC) announced that it suspects war crimes were committed during the process in which El Fasher, the last stronghold of the Sudanese army in western Darfur, was seized by the RSF. In a statement made by the ICC Prosecutor's Office, it was expressed that the allegations of mass killings, rapes, and other crimes coming from El Fasher have caused "deep concern and alarm." The statement said, "Rapid steps are being taken to preserve and collect evidence related to the alleged crimes committed in El Fasher as part of the ongoing investigation. This evidence will be used in future prosecutions."

The war, which has been ongoing since April 2023, has shattered Sudan. According to United Nations data, more than 40,000 people have lost their lives in the conflict. While the clashes have displaced more than 14 million people, they have also fueled the spread of infectious diseases.

SITUATION IN SUDAN

Since April 15, 2023, Sudan has been witnessing violent clashes between the army and the RSF, which is supported externally.

The largest city in the Darfur region in the west of the country, El Fasher, has largely come under the control of the RSF following intense clashes.

In the city, where tens of thousands of people have fled the clashes, moments of the RSF forcibly displacing civilians and killing and torturing many unarmed individuals have been reflected in videos shared by RSF members.
