Fifteen suspects were detained in the investigation by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office into the secret structure of the Fetullah Terrorist Organization (FETO) within the Land Forces Command.
According to a statement from the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, an investigation has been initiated by the Terror Crimes Investigation Bureau against individuals identified as being connected to FETÖ's infiltration of the Land Forces Command and its structure referred to as "confidential services."
THEY COMMUNICATED WITH "CONFIDENTIAL IMAMS"
It has been determined that the suspects communicated with the organization's so-called "confidential imams" using prepaid landlines located in businesses such as kiosks, grocery stores, and markets in Ankara.
ARREST WARRANT FOR 22 PEOPLE
In this context, the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office issued an arrest warrant for 22 individuals, including 5 active-duty officers, 5 active-duty non-commissioned officers, 2 former military students who had previously been discharged, 9 former military personnel who had been discharged or retired, and 1 active public servant.
In a simultaneous operation conducted in 9 provinces centered in Ankara, 15 of the suspects were detained, while efforts to capture 3 others are ongoing, and it has been determined that 4 are abroad. The procedures for the detained suspects are being continued by the Ankara Provincial Police Department's Counter-Terrorism Branch teams.
