Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced that operations were carried out in 6 provinces centered in Edirne against the organized crime group "Sevenler," led by N.S. During the operations, 9 suspects were apprehended, including the leader.

Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced that simultaneous operations were carried out yesterday at 16 different addresses in Edirne, Istanbul, Batman, Mersin, Zonguldak, and Izmir against the organized crime group "Sevenler".

NINE SUSPECTS, INCLUDING THE LEADER, WERE CAPTURED

Minister Yerlikaya stated that 9 suspects, including the leader N.S., were captured during the operations. As a result of the efforts carried out by the Edirne Provincial Police Department's Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime Branch in coordination with the Edirne Chief Public Prosecutor's Office and the General Directorate of Security's Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime Department, investigations were initiated against the suspects for the crimes of "Establishing and Being a Member of an Organization for the Purpose of Committing Crimes," "Money Laundering," and "Human Smuggling."

ALL WERE SEIZED IN THE OPERATION

During the operations, 3 unlicensed handguns, 2 unlicensed shotguns, 2 cars, and a large number of passports were seized. Regarding the operation, Ali Yerlikaya stated, "I congratulate our Edirne Governor, our Edirne Chief Public Prosecutor who coordinated the operations, and our Edirne Police Department and Heroic Police Officers who carried out the operations. We are resolutely continuing our fight against organized crime groups to ensure that no crime or criminal goes unpunished."
