A second wave of operations has been conducted in the corruption and bribery investigation launched by the Izmir Chief Public Prosecutor's Office against the Seferihisar Municipality. Six people, including Deputy Mayor İbrahim Gökhan Pehlivan and Özlem Akyılmaz, who is reported to be an advisor to CHP Malatya Deputy Veli Ağbaba, have been detained. The investigation alleges that 6 million lira in bribes were taken in exchange for zoning and construction transactions.
