Özcan Deniz, a father of a child, received backlash for stating once again in his recent statement that he does not want to become a father again. Samar Dadgar, responding to the criticism towards her husband, said, "Not every woman has to become a mother. Not every marriage has to be crowned with a child."
The singer Özcan Deniz, who divorced his son's mother Feyza Aktan in a controversial way, got married to Iranian fashion designer Samar Dadgar last year. Speaking on his wife's birthday the other day, Deniz said he didn't want another child. Deniz received backlash for his words, and his wife didn't delay making a statement either.
DENIZ: I DON'T WANT ANOTHER CHILD
Özcan Deniz, during the celebration of his wife's 30th birthday, responded to the question "Do you want to be a father again?" with "I am 53 years old. My wife Samar and my son are my life. I don't know how many more years I will accompany them. I don't want to be old while they are young. That's why I don't want to have another child and have to endure my 70s while they are in their 10s. I can't take that risk, but Samar is a young woman, my dear, my everything. Let's call it 'life'... It's her right," he said.
DADGAR: NOT EVERY WOMAN HAS TO BE A MOTHER
Deniz received backlash for his words, and his wife didn't delay making a statement either. Samar Dadgar, in a written post on her Instagram account, used the following expressions: "Not every woman has to be a mother. Not every woman has to burn with the desire to be a mother. Not every marriage has to be crowned with a child. We already have a child who is our everything. If both sides love each other and don't have the longing to have a child, you can't force it on them by connecting it to women's rights or saying how can you not want it, eventually you will want it. Sometimes some things are very private, very personal. I'm not sick, but what if I were sick and couldn't have a child? The comments you make are hurtful to women. I wish everyone would respect everyone's life," she said.

"As a Muslim woman, as a woman from that culture in Iranian lands, I feel extremely embarrassed by being asked about such a private matter by a male reporter every day, and this is a very private matter. We all know that this has no place in Turkish customs and traditions. I want you to respect this decision that is mine and I don't want this question to be directed at me forever... Every woman being able to make decisions about her own body is a great freedom... It seems like a bit of a raw thought to me to be dictated and imposed as if it should be. My dear husband, my companion, my most precious one, it was enough for me that he respected this decision, questioning it and being showered with messages is just psychological violence against a woman. I embrace you all with respect and I wish you all would stop opening up such private matters. I love you all.
