A funeral ceremony for Necati Özel was held today at noon at Hatuniye Mosque in Şehzadeler district. Manisa Governor Vahdettin Özkan, Özgür Özel and his father Talat Özel, Manisa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Besim Dutlulu, CHP members of parliament, mayors, and representatives of political parties attended the ceremony.

Özgür Özel, together with his nephews Pınar and Tolga Özel, received condolences in the mosque courtyard. After the funeral prayer led by Hatuniye Mosque Imam Hayrettin Çoban, Necati Özel was laid to rest in Kırtık Cemetery.
