Özel, addressing the increases in not only retirement pensions but also social assistance payments, stated, "Turkey is on the brink of a great social crisis, a social explosion."

"AN INCREASE IN BASE SALARIES IS A MUST THROUGH LAW"

Özel cited figures related to the 65-year-old pension, disability pension, and home care allowance as examples, saying, "We cannot leave retirees in this condition. It is essential to increase base salaries through law." The CHP leader reiterated the call for a flat increase, stating, "It is unacceptable for a retirement pension to be below the minimum wage."

"LET'S CLEAN UP THIS SHAME"

Özel emphasized the need to improve the income of retirees, addressing the government and all political parties. The CHP leader said, "As the Republican People's Party, we are here. Let's clean up this shame this week."
