A flight from Tehran to Istanbul experienced tense moments. A passenger attempted to open the exit door while shouting "Allahu Akbar" shortly before landing. Those moments were captured on camera second by second.

A passenger on a Pegasus Airlines flight from Tehran to Istanbul attempted to open the emergency exit door shortly before landing. Other passengers and crew members who tried to stop the passenger were attacked.

SHOUTING "ALLAHU AKBAR"...

A passenger, whose name has not been disclosed, on a flight from Tehran to Istanbul stood up from his seat and headed towards the emergency door, shouting "Allahu Akbar" and trying to open the door half an hour before landing. Other passengers and crew members who tried to stop the passenger were physically assaulted. Eyewitnesses reported that the person trying to open the emergency exit door had been breathing rapidly since the beginning of the flight and did not look well.

HANDED OVER TO THE POLICE

The airline announced that the individual physically assaulted the flight crew and was handed over to the police at Sabiha Gökçen Airport after being subdued on the plane.
