In İzmir's Bayraklı district, a 18-year-old cleaning staff member, D.T., who was detained on the allegation of verbally and physically harassing an 8-year-old girl named E.Ş. at the primary school where he started working a week ago, was released under judicial control by the court and has been re-arrested. The incident occurred on October 10 at a primary school in the Mansuroğlu neighborhood. According to the allegations, D.T., who started working at the school a week ago, verbally and physically sexually harassed E.Ş., a 3rd-grade student. It was claimed that D.T. wanted to give his social media account to E.Ş., said he would buy her gifts and give her money, and kissed her on the cheek. After the student reported the situation to her teacher, the matter was reported to the police. Upon the notification, police teams arrived at the address and detained D.T. on October 12. After his procedures at the police station, the suspect D.T. was referred to the courthouse on October 13 and was released under judicial control. There were calls for the re-arrest of the cleaning staff member D.T. and for the trial process to begin. After the prosecution appealed the decision, the suspect was re-arrested. It was reported that the suspect, brought to the Bayraklı District Police Department, would be referred to the courthouse again today.
