Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced that a peace agreement has been reached between the United States and Iran after intensive negotiations. Declaring the immediate and permanent cessation of military operations on all fronts, including Lebanon, Sharif stated that the official signing ceremony will take place in Switzerland on Friday, June 19. Following this historic announcement, US President Trump said the blockade in the Strait of Hormuz has been lifted.
The war between Iran and the US, ongoing since February 28, has officially ended, as announced by Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. In a statement on his social media account, Sharif declared that after intensive and critical negotiations, a peace agreement has been reached between the United States (US) and the Islamic Republic of Iran. Under the agreement, the parties have decided to permanently cease military operations on all fronts, including Lebanon.

Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, in a statement on his official X (Twitter) account, stated that peace has been achieved, altering global balances, using the following words:
"After intensive talks, we are pleased to announce that a Peace Agreement HAS BEEN REACHED between the United States and the Islamic Republic of Iran. Both sides have declared the immediate and permanent cessation of military operations on all fronts, including Lebanon."

Thanking the US and Iranian authorities for their commitment to a diplomatic solution during the negotiation process, Sharif also expressed gratitude to the mediator countries that brokered the peace. Listing the actors who played critical roles in the process one by one, Prime Minister Sharif said, "We extend our most sincere thanks to our brothers in this mediation effort, to the leadership of the great State of Qatar for their support in reaching this agreement. I especially thank the visionary leadership of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Republic of Türkiye for their tremendous contributions in this regard," emphasizing the massive contributions of the administrations in Ankara, Riyadh, and Doha.
OFFICIAL SIGNING CEREMONY WILL BE HELD ON JUNE 19 IN SWITZERLAND
With the historic peace agreement coming into effect, a series of preliminary meetings will be held this week under the coordination of mediator countries to discuss technical details. These critical talks will also prepare the legal and technical groundwork for the official signing ceremony. Shehbaz Sharif announced that the official signing ceremony, to which the whole world is turning its eyes, will take place on Friday, June 19, in Switzerland.
