The Turkish Football Federation (TFF) has made changes to the Football Disciplinary Regulations regarding illegal betting advertisements. Clubs that promote advertisements for betting organizations that are not licensed by the relevant authorities will face monetary fines as well as point deductions.

PENALTIES FOR POINT DEDUCTION WILL BE IMPOSED

Accordingly, clubs that advertise unlicensed betting companies will face fines as well as penalties that may include point deductions imposed by the relevant authorities.

The TFF announced that it will impose fines and point deductions on clubs that accept illegal betting advertisements on their advertising boards in all leagues, adding a new article to the Football Disciplinary Regulation.

Article 57 of the FDT has been amended to include a third paragraph under the title "Betting." This paragraph defines new penalties for advertising boards and other equipment.

Here is the article added by the TFF:

(3) It is prohibited to promote or advertise unlicensed betting companies in any medium, including the use of advertising boards and other equipment located in stadiums. This prohibition also includes promotions and advertisements that suggest the involvement of these companies' affiliates.

In case of non-compliance with this prohibition:

a) For Super League Clubs, a fine of 2,500,000 TL for the first violation, 5,000,000 TL for the second violation, 10,000,000 TL for the third violation, and 10,000,000 TL for each subsequent violation, along with a -3 point deduction penalty,

b) For 1st League Clubs, a fine of 1,000,000 TL for the first violation, 2,000,000 TL for the second violation, 4,000,000 TL for the third violation, and 4,000,000 TL for each subsequent violation, along with a -3 point deduction penalty,

c) For 2nd and 3rd League Clubs, a fine of 250,000 TL for the first violation, 500,000 TL for the second violation, 1,000,000 TL for the third violation, and 1,000,000 TL for each subsequent violation, along with a -3 point deduction penalty,

d) In other leagues, a fine of 125,000 TL for the first violation, 250,000 TL for the second violation, 500,000 TL for the third violation, and 500,000 TL for each subsequent violation, along with a -3 point deduction penalty will be imposed.
