Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has acknowledged for the first time that negotiations are taking place with the United States. In his statement, Pezeshkian reacted to the U.S. by saying, "We were attacked twice during the negotiations, and now we are witnessing that despite the U.S. promises, the energy infrastructure is being targeted. Iran will respond strongly to any attack on its infrastructure."
Recently, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian rejected the statement made by U.S. President Donald Trump regarding a meeting between the two countries, admitting for the first time that negotiations were held with the U.S.
ATTACKS CONTINUE DESPITE NEGOTIATIONS
Pezeshkian stated that the U.S. continued its attacks during the negotiations, saying, "We were attacked twice during the negotiations, and now we are witnessing that the energy infrastructure is being targeted despite the U.S. promises. The Zionist entity aims to expand the war circle to regional countries, and these countries must be cautious."
MESSAGE OF RETALIATION
Pezeshkian emphasized that Iran has repeatedly stated that it does not carry out "preventive attacks," adding, "We will respond strongly if the country's infrastructure or economic centers are targeted."
WARNING TO GULF COUNTRIES
In his statement, Pezeshkian also addressed the regional countries, saying, "If you want development and security, do not allow our enemies to manage the war from your lands."
HAD PREVIOUSLY DENIED THE CLAIM OF NEGOTIATIONS WITH THE U.S.
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian had previously stated that his country was not conducting any negotiations with the U.S.
Pezeshkian had said, "The statements of the U.S. president should be evaluated within the framework of efforts to gain time to reduce energy prices and implement military plans."
