The family of Mattia Ahmet Minguzzi, who lost his life in a knife attack in Kadıköy, is preparing to bring their pain to the international public. The family announced that the President of the Vatican, Pope Leo XIII, will meet with them in a private audience on Sunday.
Yasemin Minguzzi, the mother of Mattia Ahmet Minguzzi, who lost his life in a knife attack in Kadıköy, stated in a post on her social media account that Pope Leo XIII, who is currently in Turkey, will meet with the family on Sunday.
Pope Leo XIII began his visit to Turkey with an official program in Ankara on Thursday and today participated in an "ecumenical prayer" ceremony in İznik alongside Patriarch Bartholomew. It has been reported that the Pope will meet with the family of Mattia Ahmet Minguzzi, who was fatally attacked with a knife at a flea market while shopping on January 24.
