President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan announced that the global automotive giant Hyundai will begin producing 100% electric vehicles at its factory in Izmit. Stating that a new era in electric vehicle production has begun in Turkey following Togg, Erdoğan emphasized that this investment is an important step for the country's economy and domestic production.
After the Cabinet Meeting at the Presidential Complex, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan addressed the cameras and gave important messages regarding the economic collaborations with South Korea.
HYUNDAI WILL PRODUCE ELECTRIC CARS IN TURKEY
Recalling that they hosted South Korean President Lee Jae Myung at the complex on November 24, Erdoğan announced that the automotive giant Hyundai will start producing 100% electric vehicles at its factory in Izmit.

Erdoğan stated: "We evaluated the broad cooperation opportunities between Turkey and South Korea with the esteemed President. After Togg, Hyundai will also start producing 100% electric vehicles at its factory in Izmit. I wish it to be good and lucky from now on. We continue to develop joint projects in the defense industry with South Korea. Our discussions regarding the nuclear power plant are also ongoing. With the memorandum of understanding signed between Korea Electric Company and Turkey Nuclear Energy Corporation, we have taken the process one step further."
