In a statement to reporters upon his return from Qatar, President Erdoğan announced good news regarding social housing in 81 provinces. Erdoğan said, "I have instructed Minister Kurum to expedite the process and expand our efforts to provide housing across the country. We especially want to ensure that the poor in Eastern and Southeastern Anatolia have access to such housing. Next month, we will share all the details with our people."
President Erdoğan, who attended the Extraordinary Joint Summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and the Arab League held in Doha, the capital of Qatar, held meetings with many country leaders here. In his speech at the summit, Erdoğan addressed the world, once again reacting to Israel's attacks on Gaza, stating, "The genocidal Israel must be stopped. Israel will not stop without sanctions." On his return home, Erdoğan answered questions from journalists on the plane.

President Erdoğan responded to the question, "It was said that a new social housing project would be announced by the end of the year. We know that a budget has been allocated for this in the Medium-Term Program. When will this project be launched?" with the following statements:
"The responsible person for this project is our Minister of Environment, Urbanization, and Climate Change, Murat Kurum. They will make their statements regarding this as soon as possible. We have a comprehensive preparation aimed at enabling our low-income citizens to own homes. Mr. Murat is continuing his work on this. 2+1 and 3+1 housing units are included in these efforts. I have instructed him to expedite the work and to spread our efforts to provide housing across the country. Especially by taking this step in Eastern and Southeastern Anatolia, we want to ensure that the poor and needy have access to such housing."
"WE WILL SHARE WITH OUR PEOPLE NEXT MONTH"
Stating that the AK Party governments have produced a total of 1 million 704 thousand houses to date, Erdoğan said, "Currently, we are continuing the construction of 280 thousand social housing units across the country. Note that we are doing all of this while our intensive construction activities continue after the disaster of the century, while we are building 450 thousand houses in 11 provinces. Right now, our TOKİ is conducting land and plot research, project studies, and cost determination processes in 81 provinces. Next month, we will share all the details with our people, inshallah."
