While scenarios of a 25% to 50% increase in retirement bonuses are being discussed in the Ankara corridors, SGK Chief Expert İsa Karakaş stated that there is a possibility of 5,000 lira for Ramadan Bayram and 5,500 to 6,000 lira through President Erdoğan's initiative.
While SSK and BAĞ-KUR retirees will receive a 12.19% increase for the first 6 months of 2026, the lowest pension has been raised to 20,000 lira with an 18.4% increase. SGK Chief Expert İsa Karakaş made evaluations regarding retirement bonuses on TGRT News live broadcast. Karakaş stated that there is currently no clear work and expressed that the determining factor in this matter is the economic management.
RUMORS OF 25% AND 50% FORMULA
Referring to the scenarios discussed in Ankara, Karakaş mentioned that there is a possibility of increasing the current 4,000 lira bonus by 25% to 50%. According to the 25% increase formula, it is stated that the retirement bonus could rise to 5,000 lira.
DETAIL OF THE ERDOĞAN FACTOR
Pointing out that President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan could take the initiative, Karakaş noted that in this case, the bonus amount could be raised to 5,500 lira, or even up to 6,000 lira.
6,000 LIRA MAY BE LEFT FOR KURBAN BAYRAM
According to another scenario, there is a possibility that the bonus will be paid as 5,000 lira during Ramadan Bayram and increased to 6,000 lira during Kurban Bayram. Karakaş stated that the expectation is generally shaped between 5,000 and 6,000 lira.

Addressing the claims of "1 salary bonus," Karakaş emphasized that such statements do not reflect the truth and expressed that retirement bonuses are expected to be in the range of 5,000 to 6,000 lira.
