President Erdogan's warning to Europe: EU membership is no longer a priority

President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, regarding the Makkah Agreement signed between Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and Pakistan, stated, 'The signing of this tripartite agreement in Makkah between Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Pakistan was a genuine opportunity for us to send an important message to the world.' Erdogan also delivered striking messages regarding relations with the EU, saying, 'For us, the European Union is not a priority, but we keep saying it: you will be the loser, not Turkey.'

President Erdogan said in an Al Jazeera interview that the Mecca Agreement delivered a message of peace, that the door is open to Egypt, and that he will visit Damascus. Erdogan also stressed that they will not leave Gaza alone.

"Our President stated that the Mecca Agreement signed between Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan delivered a strong message to world peace. He noted that this cooperation could expand in the coming period and that the door is open to talks if Egypt requests it. Describing Syria as Turkey's brother, our President emphasized that we will never leave Syria alone and will continue to fulfill our responsibilities to ensure its stability. Our President also announced that he will visit Damascus as soon as possible."

Duran stated that in the interview, President Erdogan noted that Gaza can never be left alone, emphasizing that Turkey has done its part so far and will continue to do so from now on.

Duran, emphasizing that Erdogan drew attention to the fact that while Hamas displayed a sincere approach, Israel continued its aggressive stance, clearly revealing the main obstacle to peace, evaluated, "Our President, also touching on Turkey-US relations, stated that he received a promise from US President Donald Trump regarding the F-35 issue, emphasized that he expects this promise to be kept and that the matter is important for Turkey.
