President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan traveled to Cairo, the capital of Egypt, to attend the D-8 Summit, which includes Bangladesh, Indonesia, Iran, Malaysia, Egypt, Nigeria, Pakistan, and Turkey. President Erdoğan was welcomed at Cairo International Airport by Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, Turkey's Ambassador to Cairo Salih Mutlu Şen, and Egyptian officials. During his visit, Erdoğan was accompanied by Minister of Trade Ömer Bolat, MIT President İbrahim Kalın, Presidential Communications Director Fahrettin Altun, and Presidential Chief Advisor on Foreign Policy and Security Akif Çağatay Kılıç. All country leaders gathered at the Egyptian Presidential Palace for the D-8 Summit. In the palace's meeting room, Sisi welcomed all the leaders. The last leader to enter the hall was President Erdoğan. Sisi greeted Erdoğan with a smile and extended his hand.
