Speaking at the "Announcement of 2025 Export Figures" program at the Istanbul Congress Center, President Erdoğan stated that Istanbul, Kocaeli, Izmir, Bursa, and Tekirdağ are our top 5 exporting provinces, and said, "We have achieved the highest annual export in the history of our Republic, may it be auspicious."

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made striking evaluations at the "Announcement of Export Figures for 2025" program held at the Istanbul Congress Center.

RECORD EXPORT IN THE REPUBLIC

Stating that the highest figure in the history of the Republic was reached in 2025, Erdoğan said, "Dear friends, in 2025, the resilience of the Turkish economy was tested, and our economy passed this test very successfully. Not only the growth figures but also the export figures have revealed Turkey's capacity. Now I would like to share our foreign trade data for 2025 with you. In December, we set a new export record on a monthly basis with 26.4 billion dollars. In December, a net increase of 3 billion dollars was achieved compared to last year, and for the first time, our monthly exports exceeded the 26 billion dollar threshold. A similar record is also present in our goods exports for 2025; our goods exports, which increased by 4.5% compared to the previous year, reached a total of 273.4 billion dollars. Thus, we achieved the highest annual export in the history of the Republic, may it be auspicious" he stated.

MENTIONED THE NAMES OF 5 PROVINCES

Sharing the names of our top 5 exporting provinces, Erdoğan said, "When we look at the top five provinces with the highest exports; Istanbul ranked first with 57.8 billion dollars, Kocaeli second with 35.1 billion dollars, Izmir third with 23.6 billion dollars, Bursa fourth with 20 billion dollars, and Tekirdağ fifth with 13.2 billion dollars. On the other hand, in imports, we closed the year 2025 with 365.5 billion dollars. The increase in imports was influenced by the revival in our economy, the rise in the price of gold per ounce, and the increase in import values. Nevertheless, the ratio of exports to imports, which was around 50% in 2002, has risen to 74.8% in 2025," he said.
