In the capital of France, Paris, a court sentenced seven defendants to prison terms ranging from 3 to 8 years for stealing Kim Kardashian's $6 million worth of jewelry, which they took while forcibly entering her hotel room disguised as police during the 2016 Paris Fashion Week.

PENALTIES RANGING FROM 3 TO 8 YEARS
The Paris court sentenced 7 defendants, including leader Aomar At Khedache, to prison for 'direct participation in the robbery or complicity in the crime.' Among the defendants, the alleged leader of the incident, 69-year-old Aomar At Khedache, received 8 years in prison with a 5-year suspension, Yunice Abbas, Didier Dubreucq, and Marc-Alexandre Boyer received 7 years in prison with a 5-year suspension, and Harminy At Khedache was sentenced to 5 years in prison with a 4-year suspension.
4 PEOPLE AVOIDED GOING TO PRISON
The only female defendant, 80-year-old Christiane Glotin, had her 4-year prison sentence suspended, as did François Delaporte's 3-year prison sentence. The penalties read by the presiding judge included not only prison sentences but also fines. Florus Heroui and Gary Madar, who were reported to have provided information about the robbery, were acquitted.

Struggling to speak during the hearing, Khedache submitted his statement in writing, expressing his remorse by saying, "I apologize a thousand times." Khedache made his defense through his lawyer due to health issues.

After the verdicts were announced, Court President David De Pas stated, "No one may have been physically harmed, but the victims experienced great fear. The sentences were given without forgetting this reality." Kim Kardashian's lawyers indicated that their client was "satisfied" with the verdict.
